Our Mission
BroadbandVT.org is a cooperative effort of the Vermont Center for Geographic Information (VCGI), the Vermont Telecommunications Authority (VTA), the Vermont Department of Public Service (DPS) and the Center for Rural Studies (CRS) of the University of Vermont (UVM). This diverse group assembled to pool their efforts at advancing common knowledge of broadband availability, issues of digital divide and opportunities for change throughout the State of Vermont. These partners were primary drivers behind the development of the interactive broadband maps, the data for which was provided by telecommunications providers in Vermont under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) grant.
While these entities are the current contributors, BroadbandVT.org anticipates growth and welcomes an even broader scope of participants.
